Do we get to heaven because we are good, or worthy? NO, we get there because of Jesus, if we have put our trust in Him. Why? Because He is worthy.

"We know it so well, we've embraced it heart and soul, this love that comes from God. God is love…we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love becomes mature in us, so that we're free of worry on Judgment Day-our standing in the world is identical with Christ's. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. To have fear of death, or fear of judgment, is a life yet not fully formed in love." (1 John 4:16-18 -- The Message paraphrased.

The above Scripture is from The Message Bible. The underlined words speak to our position in Jesus the Christ. He is now in Heaven at the right hand of God the Father. The Holy Spirit is here on earth, in our spirits, if we have accepted Jesus as our Savior and Lord. God is love. So the Holy Spirit in us is love. Our wealth, or health, or even our popularity doesn't matter. God in us does matter. We read in Apostle Paul's letter to the church at Colosse, "Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27, the Geneva Bible).

Judgment Day will be a great day for us; because we are forgiven and identical with Jesus!
