"Happy Resurrection Day!" some will shout on April 16th, the traditional Easter Sunday. The leader at church may say "He is risen!" The congregation will respond, "He is risen indeed!"
"That everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." -- John 3:15-18 (NIV)
"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." -- Romans 10:9-10 (NIV)
Our Savior Jesus the Christ came to set us free from the curse of the sin nature that we inherited from Adam and Eve. First He taught, healed and counseled mankind for about two and one half years. Then the Jewish Sanhedrin sentenced Him to death on a Roman cross. Pontius Pilot, the Roman governor for Judea, confirmed the sentence and Roman soldiers raised Him on a Roman cross. There He died in our place, paying for our sins.
After spending three days in the grave, Thursday till Sunday sunrise. The Holy Spirit raised Him alive, never to die again. For forty days, Jesus explained to the deciples what their mission was to be. Then He commissioned them (Mark 16:15-18, and Matthew 28:16-20), later he ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of God the father where He, Jesus God the Son, resides today. Today God is on earth as the indwelling Holy Spirit, the third person of the God Head.
By accepting the payment for "Sin" that Jesus made, and making Him Lord of your life, you will be blessed the rest of your life on earth.
