Remember the game of hide and seek we played as children. One person would cover his or her eyes and the rest would run and hide. After counting to some given number "It" would call out "Ready or not, here I come." Someday, a Trumpet will sound from Heaven and those who are "ready" will meet the Lord Jesus in the air and go to Heaven.

"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other" -- Matthew 24:30-31 (NIV) (Note: Please read all of Matthew chapters 24 and 25)

We are to keep watch for the Lord's coming, yet we are to keep busy in the work that God has called each of us to do. Are we daily ready to meet Him in the sky? Are we keeping at our daily tasks? Remember the old song from the mid-1800's. The family a home would sing, "Tie a Yellow Ribbon around the Old Oak Tree," while waiting for their soldier to come home from the battle. May Blessings be on each of you as we wait with a light on in the window? Jesus will come for us at the appointed time. Be ready!
